It took me a long time to realise I was a leader off path.
I served this country overseas in the Defence Force, worked as a paramedic, and finished the degree, all in efforts to serve others and help. Somewhere in there I lost my own path. I've done things I'm not proud of, and I've hurt people I loved. I'm a sinner, no doubt about it. But I've worked hard at salvation, and after a long time, I've got both the skills and the disposition to take this on.
What I needed, and never had, was a good healthy community. A sense of belonging and comradery. So I'm building one. Positivity and ambition are contagious, and I'm looking to light a fucking fire with it.
There was no hero for me. But I know what I needed, and you'll all have it.
Valour & Venture is a refuge for men. A bastion of hope. No false idols worshipped here, just good spirits, positivity, and men willing to consider the needs of the man next to him.
What that actually looks like will change as the club grows and the membership shapes it. To start: a small club with a gym and shared assets, built to set men up to succeed outdoors.
It's invite only. Anyone who'll be around firearms is vetted first, so every man in this club can trust the man standing next to him.
This isn't really a business, not in the normal sense. Every member holds equity, and the intent is to build a robust diversification plan together: fine dining on wild food, contracts with government for planned cullings, and eventually our own hunting blocks, replanted in natives for carbon credits, while we enjoy premium hunting on land we own.
We're a bunch of men who look after the nice things we buy together. That's most of it.
Club nights mean poker, good food, and probably more discussion about how to get the most out of the investment than anything else, less sinning, more accounting, if we're honest.
You've all got phones. Start filming the hunting and fishing. We're going to dominate socials off the back of that, and if you're good at it, put your hand up, you'll end up running it, and potentially getting paid for it.
We'll design our own hunting apparel line too, every member a potential model, faces always blurred. The app runs on encrypted comms so members can talk freely, not because anything illegal happens here, that will never be tolerated, but because member confidentiality matters. Nothing gets posted anywhere without that member's own vetting and approval first.
Clubs in Auckland and the regions. Restaurants. Export. Tourist hunting trips. Land, boats, bikes, and some of the best hunting gear in the country, owned and shared by the men who built it.
